Here at Wags and Bones we believe that every dog, no matter what their issues, deserves the chance to become a well trained and happy pet and have lots of fun. The focus of the obedience & agility classes is not on competition work, but on helping you and your best friend to live in harmony with one another and your surroundings, whilts having lots of fun.
All of our dog training and dog agility classes are friendly and informal with the emphasis very much on keeping it relaxed and fun for you and your dog. Wags and Bones dog training classes have no set time for you to achieve certain training goals, so if your dog is a fast learner we can move on quicker with you, and conversely if you are finding an exercise more of a challenge you can take your time without the worry of holding others back. We believe that all dogs are individuals with their own learning rates and styles and so treat them accordingly.
All of our dog training obedience sessions are limited to six dogs so you will always have plenty of space to work in. Wags and Bones hold dog training classes at various locations around Somerset and all of our classes last for one hour. We have a variety of classes available around Somerset including dog training classes for Growly Dogs, Puppy Classes, Lifestyle Obedience, and Lifestyle Obedience Improvers.
We also offer fun dog agility classes for beginners and improvers. No matter what the size of your dog, from Chiuauas to Great Danes, everyone is welcome to come along and take part. Dog agility is a team sport which strengthens the understanding and bond between you and your dog. Anyone can take part in agility as long as you and your dog are both fit and healthy. All of our classes are very relaxed and informal, with no pressure on you to raise the height of jumps or achieve competition standards. Older dogs who are physically fit and healthy can still enjoy agility whilst working over mini height jumps, likewise for large breeds of dog whose owners are concerned about potential joint problems. If you are unsure about either yours or your dog’s health, please visit your doctor or vet for advice as to whether it is safe for you and your dog to do agility. Classes are held in Wells, Somerset and include Beginners Fun Agility, Fun Agility (Basic) and Fun Agility (Improvers).
Wags and Bones Growly Dog training classes are for reactive dogs. Again we work at your pace to determine the root cause of the problem and help you and your dog overcome the issues in a supportive, calm environment.
If your dog has more severe issues, we may decide in consultation with you that it would be best to start by having a number of one to one training and behaviour sessions before coming into a training class environment.
