Behaviour Consultations

If your dog has any serious behavioural problems such as separation anxiety, phobias or aggression, obedience training is not always the answer. The underlying problems usually need to be identified and resolved first. A Wags and Bones Behaviour Consultation will include an evaluation of both your interaction with your dog and your dog's behaviour. Once a full assessment has been carried out you will be given a treatment strategy. With care, time and patience, even challenging dogs can be helped.

First you will complete a Wags and Bones Initial Assessment Form and submit it for review. From there you will be contacted and an appointment will be made for your first session. After reviewing your Initial Assessment Form and observing you with your dog, we will discuss your treatment plan and discuss how this can be worked into your everyday life and schedule. We will also practice some exercises from the treatment plan and discuss coping strategies to help you to more effectively handle the problem behaviours until they are resolved.
